The Gurukul's examination system is not limited to bookish knowledge alone. Here, a girl's knowledge, conduct and practical skills — all three — are assessed.
Types of Examination
Shastrartha / Oral Examination
Oral question-answer, recitation, verse reading and explanation of meaning in Vedic subjects. This is the most ancient and effective method of the Gurukul tradition.
Written Examination
Written examinations in modern subjects (Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science) and Sanskrit grammar.
Practical Assessment
Continuous assessment of the yajna procedure, yoga practice, adherence to the routine, cleanliness and contribution to communal life.
